Residents in the Borno community have breathed a collective sigh of relief this week after the Nigerian Army successfully thwarted multiple kidnap attempts and rescued innocent civilians from terrorists in both the North East and North West regions.

In a display of courage and swift action, troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations engaged with terrorist groups in separate incidents.

While acting on valuable intelligence, troops clashed with ISWAP fighters in Kulukawiya village, Borno state. Their bravery resulted in the elimination of a terrorist and the confiscation of an AK-47 rifle.

During the pursuit, the troops rescued a young boy abducted by the fleeing terrorists. The child, identified as Alhaji Musa’s son, has been safely reunited with his overjoyed father.

troops on patrol in Amale village, Kaduna North, received intel about lurking terrorists.

Collaborating with local vigilantes, the joint force successfully engaged the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their weapons. The recovered arsenal included an AK-47 rifle, a homemade gun, and a machete.

These successful operations by the Nigerian Army highlight their unwavering dedication to protecting the lives and safety of Nigerian citizens.

The return of these kidnap victims to their families serves as a testament to the army’s commitment to combating terrorism and restoring peace across the nation.
