CIPM Elects Ladan Gobir as President

Alhaji Ahmed Ladan Gobir, a renowned management expert and legal practitioner, has been elected as the President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM).

Born on July 10, 1963, Alhaji Gobir hails from the distinguished Gobir dynasty of Ilorin.

He has had a distinguished career spanning over three decades, with notable achievements in human resources management, industrial relations, and organizational development. He has worked in various organizations, including the Federal Ministry of Mines, Power & Steel, Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd, Cotton & Agricultural Processors Limited, Crittall-Hope Nigeria Ltd, and Dangote Cement Plc.

Alhaji Gobir has also held various leadership positions, including Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Co-operatives in Kwara State, Chairman of Kwara State Investment and Property Development Company, and Director of several companies. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

The new CIPM President who is also Vice President of Third-Estate sociopolitical group is married to Hajiya Maryam Folawiyo Gobir, a legal practitioner, and they have children who are also successful in their careers.
