A statement by NAF’s Director of Public Relations, Edward Gabkwet, said the operation was authorized after surveillance confirmed the sites’ activity.
The strikes destroyed the facilities, marking a significant milestone in the fight against illegal refining.
He said the success of this operation highlights the need for a NAF Base in Abia, which Governor Alex Otti and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, agree is long overdue.
The NAF also pledged to intensify air operations under Operation Delta Safe, collaborating with surface forces to ensure the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.
