IEDPU hails Kamaldeen, Haroon, Shuaib on Saudi Authority Invitation, Tasks Pilgrims on Sustaining Attitude
The National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, has congratulated the Grand Kadi of Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice Abdulateef Kamaldeen and one of his predecessors, Honourable Justice Idris Abdullahi Haroon, OFR as well as a renowned media magnate, Alhaji Yushau Abdulhameed Shuaib, on the special invitations extended to them by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as guests of the Custodian of the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah at the just concluded 2024 Hajj exercise
Alhaji Abdulmalik described the invitations extended to the two jurists and the seasoned journalist by the Custodian of the two holiest Muslim sites as a great honour not only to the three individuals but also to the good people of Ilorin Emirate.
He added that their invitation was an endorsement of the qualitative services they had been offering Islam over the years.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, who also congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the inclusion of three of his subjects among 30 Nigerians granted the honour this year, also congratulated all the indigenes of Ilorin Emirate who performed this year’s Hajj for successfully observing the fifth pillar of Islam.
The community leader, who is a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, charged the pilgrims, who would soon return home, to transform themselves into role-models in their various homes and the community at large, saying that having performed Hajj they are expected to be shining examples not only in the practice of Islam but also in community development and nation building.
Speaking further, Alhaji Abdulmalik, once again, commended the Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, and other stakeholders for ensuring that Babatunde Idiagbon International Airport, Ilorin, is put into operation for the airlift and return of pilgrims from Kwara State and neighbouring States for this year’s Hajj exercise.
He also commended this year’s Kwara State Amirul Haji, Senator Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe and the Chairman of the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Prof. Moshood Mahmud Jimba, for the impressive successes recorded so far in the conduct of this year’s Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Abdulmalik wished the pilgrims a safe return back home.
