How to Foster Efficiency, Accountability in Governance – Minister
The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo, has advocated for efficiency and accountability in governance.
He made the call at a retreat for the management staff of his ministry in Abuja.
The retreat, with the theme, “Enhancing Excellence in Integrated Performance and Delivery System Retreat,” aims to enhance performance management, inter-governmental coordination, and service delivery.
Jisalo noted that the retreat offers a unique opportunity for introspection, reassessment, and strategic planning to enhance the ministry’s performance and service delivery.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ibiene Patricia Roberts, said: “The ministry’s mandate encompasses various deliverables, including special projects, constituency projects, zonal intervention projects, monitoring of releases to traditional rulers and local governments, licensing lottery operators, national awards, and good cause intervention projects.
“The retreat is a call to action, and we must leverage this opportunity to deepen our understanding, exchange ideas, and develop actionable strategies that will drive our performance and delivery system to new heights.”
