NIS Comptroller, Hoteliers Meet over Illegal Immigration Concerns

NIS Comptroller, Hoteliers Meet over Illegal Immigration Concerns

In a proactive move to enhance security and curb illegal immigration in Katsina State, the Comptroller of Immigration Service, Mohammed Adamu Mahmoud held a crucial meeting with hoteliers in the state.

The meeting, which took place in the stste Command was part of the Comptroller’s ongoing efforts to address security challenges in the region.

The objective of the gathering was also to establish an effective partnership between the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the hotel industry, in order to create an enabling environment for efficient immigration duties and enhanced security in the state.

During the meeting, Comptroller Mahmoud emphasized the vital role that hoteliers play in maintaining security and stressed the importance of close monitoring of migrant activities. He highlighted the significance of hotel inspections and timely submission of hotel returns to the NIS command as crucial measures in preventing illegal immigration and related crimes.

“Hoteliers are essential partners in our efforts to secure our nation and curb the influx of illegal immigrants,” Mahmoud said. “By working closely with us and adhering to our protocols, you can help us effectively monitor the movement of people and identify potential threats to communities.”

The hoteliers expressed their appreciation for the meeting and acknowledged the valuable security updates provided by the Comptroller. They assured him of their total commitment and cooperation with the NIS, Katsina State Co, in securing the state from all forms of crimes and criminality.

“We recognize the importance of our role in supporting the Immigration Service’s efforts to maintain security and address illegal immigration,” said one of the hoteliers. “We pledge to continue collaborating closely with the NIS to ensure the safety and security of our guests and the state at large.”

PRNigeria observed that the meeting marks a significant step towards strengthening the partnership between the Immigration Service and the hotel industry in the State. It demonstrates the Comptroller’s proactive approach to tackling the complex issue of illegal immigration and his commitment to enhancing security in the region.
