How DSS Operatives Ambushed Kidnappers of Rarara’s Mother, Recovered N26m Ransom
In a daring intelligence operation, operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) ambushed and apprehended kidnappers responsible for abducting the mother of renowned Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara.

According to sources, the operatives stormed the kidnappers’ hideout in Makarfi Forest, Kaduna State, while they were dividing the ransom payment. The DSS team overpowered the kidnappers, killing one and arresting another who is receiving treatment for gunshot wounds. The operatives also recovered N26.5 million in ransom money.
The successful operation was carried out after careful intelligence tracing led the DSS to the kidnappers’ location. The arrested kidnapper is providing valuable information about their activities.
The abductors of Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu had demanded a ransom of N1bn for but later reduced the amount before she was eventually released after 20 days in captivity.
