    As Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, Director General of the Voice of Nigeria (VON), marks his 50th birthday on August 17th, we celebrate a trailblazing media icon who has made significant strides in the industry. Born in 1974, Malam Jibrin rose from a humble background to become a recognized media expert, renowned for his innovative approach and dedication to excellence.

    Malam Jibrin’s tenure at VON has been marked by transformative leadership, innovation, and creativity. Within a year of his appointment, he has overseen a comprehensive overhaul of VON’s transmission channels and new media platforms, establishing the organization as a leading voice in Nigeria’s media landscape.

    In an era plagued by misinformation and fake news, Malam Jibrin has emerged as a champion of fact-based reporting. His unwavering commitment to truth and accuracy has earned VON a reputation as a trusted source of information, both locally and internationally.
