Elder Stateman Tanko Yakasai, Distances Self from ‘League of Northern Democrats’
Alhaji Tanko Yakasai, a prominent Nigerian, has refuted claims of his involvement with a new political group called “The League of Northern Democrats”.

Yakasai issued a statement on August 21, 2024, clarifying his position after a Punch Newspaper online report mentioned his name as a member of the group.
He stated that he has been receiving numerous calls and messages from concerned Nigerians, prompting him to address the issue.
Yakasai emphasized that he is not a member of the organization or its organizers, urging the public to disregard the report.
