Boko Haram Launches Deadly Attack on Yobe Mosque, Kills 34 Worshippers
A brutal assault by Boko Haram terrorists on a mosque in Mafa town, Tarmuwa, Yobe state, has left 34 worshippers dead. The attack occurred during Magrib prayer on August 1, with the terrorists indiscriminately opening fire on congregants.

In a horrific turn of events, the terrorists strapped the dead bodies with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), setting a trap for security agencies or rescue teams. Furthermore, at least four IEDs were planted along the route to the village, targeting military convoys.
Zagazola reports that the attack is believed to be a retaliatory response to the community’s failure to pay levies to the terrorists. According to sources, the community had been secretly paying levies to Boko Haram without the knowledge or consent of Nigerian Security Forces.
This tragic incident highlights the ongoing threat posed by Boko Haram and the need for continued vigilance and cooperation between security agencies and local communities to prevent such attacks.
