Nigeria Police Academy Graduates 462 Cadets as ASP
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has commissioned 462 cadets from the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) after completing their five-year training.
A press release signed by police spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the Passing Out Parade, held on September 7, 2024, was attended by dignitaries from across the country. The cadets underwent rigorous academic and professional training to prepare them for policing in a democratic and rule-of-law-driven Nigerian environment.

In his address, represented by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, the President expressed confidence in the new officers, urging them to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and respect for human rights. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force and its personnel.
The ceremony was attended by Governors, National Assembly officials, Federal and State Executive Council members, military and paramilitary institution heads, senior police officers, and other dignitaries.
Inspector-General of Police IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, appreciated President Tinubu’s support for police reform and lauded the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs and the Police Service Commission for their strong support and synergy. He commended the new ASPs for their dedication and discipline during their training and emphasized the importance of discipline, character, and professionalism in policing.
