Bauchi Yoruba Community Hails Appointment of Ajayi as DSS DG
The Yoruba Community in Bauchi State has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director-General (DG) of the Department of State Services (DSS). In a congratulatory message, Special Apostle Segun Awofadeji, President-General of the community, described the appointment as “a wise and well-deserved decision.”
Awofadeji praised Ajayi’s impressive pedigree, noting that he is “imbued with the capacity and professional expertise to inject fresh perspectives and strategies towards enhancing internal security and addressing current and emerging threats across the country.”

As the former State Director of the Agency in Bauchi, Ajayi’s leadership was marked by strategic reforms, commitment, and efforts to shore up the agency’s effectiveness and efficiency in addressing contemporary security challenges.
The community leader expressed confidence in Ajayi’s ability to excel in his new role, stating, “All eyes are already on him to give his best in curbing the menace of security issues bedeviling Nigeria, but we are confident that as a diligent, resilient, and proactive security officer, with capacity and experience, he will excel in this national assignment by the divine Grace of Almighty God.”
Awofadeji congratulated Ajayi on behalf of the Yoruba Community in Bauchi State, acknowledging his commitment to strengthening the Agency’s capacity, particularly in enhancing internal security and addressing current and emerging threats.
The new DSS DG is a seasoned security officer and administrator with extensive experience, having received several trainings in diverse areas of security leadership, human resource development, and management.
