NILDS Appoints Former Defence Minister’s Spokesman as Media Adviser
The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) has appointed Mohammad Abdulkadri, a veteran journalist and strategic communication expert, as its new Media Adviser. The appointment takes effect immediately.
Abdulkadri, who served as Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the former Minister of Defence, brings over three decades of experience in journalism and strategic communication to his new role. He has worked in various capacities, including as a defence correspondent for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and has reported from over 25 countries worldwide.

Throughout his career, Abdulkadri has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work, including gallantry awards in Counter Terrorism Operation and decorations from the Chief of Army Staff of Columbia. He is also a fellow of several professional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (USA) and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Abdulkadri is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Strategic Studies at Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo State. He is married with children.
The NILDS requests the cooperation and support of media outlets in working with Abdulkadri to navigate the publicity terrain and carry out the responsibilities of his office.
