CP Disu Visits Bwari-Ushafa Axis, Vows to Strengthen Security Across FCT Communities

The Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Friday, October 11, 2024, paid a visit to the Bwari and Ushafa communities in Abuja to assess the security situation and strengthen ongoing deployments in the area.

CP Disu, recently appointed to lead the FCT Police Command, engaged with traditional rulers, youth groups, and residents during the visit, addressing their security concerns. He reassured the communities of the police’s dedication to swift responses to any threats and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and the public.

“We are committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents within the FCT, and community involvement is critical to our success,” CP Disu stated, urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.

As part of the efforts to bolster security, the police have deployed intelligence-driven operations and rapid response units in strategic areas within Bwari. CP Disu reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling crime and creating a peaceful environment for all residents.

The FCT Police Command plans to continue working closely with stakeholders and enhancing its security strategies through community policing initiatives. Residents can report any suspicious activities via dedicated emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08028940883, 08061581938, and 07057337653. Complaints against police conduct can be reported to PCB at 09022222352 or CRU at 08107314192.

The visit marks a significant step in CP Disu’s resolve to address security challenges and strengthen law enforcement efforts in the FCT.
