    IEDPU Elects Lukman Atanda as Chairman of FCT Chapter

    IEDPU Elects Lukman Atanda as Chairman of FCT Chapter

    Members of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) have elected Alhaji Lukman Atanda Abdullah as the Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter.

    Atanda was elected during the union’s quarterly meeting held in Iddo, alongside a new slate of officials. Alhaji Mashood Sulaiman was also elected as the Vice Chairman.

    The election was conducted by a three-member electoral committee led by Alfa Yusuf Ibrahim. Other elected officials include Alhaji Yusuf Adebayo as General Secretary, Malam Mahruf Onimago as Financial Secretary/Treasurer, Malam Abubakar Bello as Public Relations Officer, and Mr. Musa Mukhtar as Auditor.

    In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Alhaji Lukman Atanda, pledged to build upon the foundation laid by his predecessor, Alhaji Mashood Al-Kadriyar, who was commended for his “fatherly commitment to the unity of all branches in the FCT.”

    “We appreciate the selfless service of Alhaji Mashood Al-Kadriyar to the association. Our focus will be on uniting our branches and promoting the progress of our members,” Alhaji Atanda stated.

    The newly elected officials are set to serve for the next term, guiding the affairs of the FCT chapter.

    “As we embark on this journey, we remain committed to elevating our association to greater heights,” Alhaji Atanda concluded.
