The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has been named a finalist for the prestigious Global Alliance World Public Relations & Communication Award, competing for the Global Public Relations Association of the Year title. This recognition places NIPR among esteemed organisations, such as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), in this competitive selection process.

Under the leadership of Dr. Ike Naliaku, NIPR has achieved notable milestones within a year, including governmental endorsements, mainstreaming the PR cadre within civil and public services, and certifying PR professionals as spokespersons for top organizations. Additionally, the NIPR has inducted over 2,040 new members, including military generals, lawyers, and editors, while advancing professionalism through digital transformation and capacity-building programmes. In a strategic move toward elevating PR education, NIPR has partnered internationally to establish the Public Relations and Leadership University of Nigeria.

The Global Alliance World Public Relations & Communication Awards is renowned for highlighting the best national and international public relations and communication management programs. The awards recognise excellence in campaigns that exemplify strategic planning, creativity, and transformative business results in stakeholder engagement.
An esteemed international panel of industry experts, thought leaders, and academics judged the submissions, which evaluated over 100 entries from 20 countries worldwide.
Winners will be announced during the World Public Relations Forum 2024 awards ceremony, scheduled for November 20 at the luxurious Merusaka Nusa Dua in Bali, Indonesia.
