7 Students Bag First Class as ADUN Host 3rd Convocation

Seven students of the Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) have made history by bagging first class degrees at the institution’s 3rd convocation ceremony held on Friday, November 22, 2024.

The ceremony, which took place at the Ibusa Campus, Delta State, was attended by several dignitaries in the academia and military.

A statement signed by Commodore Aiwiyor ADAMS-ALIU, Director of Information of the Nigerian Navy on Monday said, a total of 100 students graduated, with 51 and 41 students making second class upper and lower grades respectively.

 

“Only one student graduated with a third-class grade. The Vice Chancellor of the institution, while congratulating the graduating students, encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the university.

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, who was represented by the Chief of Policy and Plans, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Abdullahi Dewu, commended the institution for its achievements.

 

PRNigeria reports that Admiralty University of Nigeria, established in 2017, has three faculties: Arts, Management and Social Sciences; Sciences; and Law.

 

The institution is set to establish a new faculty of Engineering, which is currently undergoing verification.

 

The Naval spokesman encouraged the general public to explore the option of studying at the institute as  the tuition and other fees were recently reviewed downwards.

 

“The university has recently reviewed its tuition and other fees downwards, making it more affordable for prospective students. Admission into the university is through the approved processes outlined by the National Universities Commission.
