CCC Appoints Mukhtar Madobi as Research Fellow to Strengthen Crisis Communication Efforts
The Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) has appointed Mukhtar Ya’u Madobi, a staff writer at PRNigeria, as its new Research Fellow.
The announcement was made by Major General Chris Olukolade (rtd), Chairman of the Centre, during a board meeting. He emphasized that this appointment is part of the Centre’s ongoing efforts to enhance its capabilities in effectively fulfilling its mission.
“We are confident that Madobi’s extensive experience in academia, journalism, and communication will significantly bolster the Centre’s strategic initiatives as a leading think tank on crisis communication and management in Nigeria,” Olukolade stated.
Mukhtar Ya’u Madobi holds a First-Class Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Botany and a Distinction in Master of Science (MSc) in Ethnobotany from Bayero University, Kano. He furthered his qualifications with a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) from the International Institute of Journalism (IIJ) in Abuja. He also earned a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Defence and Security Studies (DSS) from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) in Kaduna and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the same field.

Mr. Madobi began his journalism career at PRNigeria, a subsidiary of Image Merchant Promotion Limited (IMPR), where he works as a staff writer and researcher focusing on national security issues. He has participated in several courses and conferences, including the inaugural National Security Course on Psychological Operations and Strategic Communication (NSCPOSC-1), organized by the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Abuja.
Over the years, Mr. Madobi has produced numerous investigative and special reports addressing humanitarian challenges across Kano, Niger, and Kebbi States. With a wealth of research and articles to his credit—especially on security-related issues—he is the author of “National Security Strategies: A Young Writer’s Perspective” and a co-author of an upcoming book, “Leveraging Interagency and Civil Military Relations for Peacemaking,” in honor of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Chris Musa.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Network for Advocates of Digital Reporting (NADIR), and the Association of Kano Online Journalists (ASKOJ), through which he continues to make significant contributions to public communication and advocacy.
Mukhtar’s appointment underscores the Centre’s commitment to leveraging specialized expertise to enhance its impact in crisis communication and strategic initiatives.
