General Musa Unveils Nigerian Military Tattoo Logo, Parade Event

The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa has announced plans to host a tattoo parade to foster unity and showcasing Nigerian culture.

He made the announcement at the unveiling of Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) tattoo 2025 logo today at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) in Abuja.

This is coming as the Nigerian military made remarkable performance at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland, this year.

He said the event will showcase the Nigerian Armed Forces’ rich cultural heritage and professionalism.

The CDS said the event is part of the Armed Forces’ efforts to promote national unity and cohesion, and to demonstrate their commitment to protecting Nigerians and Nigeria.

The parade, which is part of the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s 2025 Tattoo logo, will bring together members of the armed forces to showcase their parades and social activities.

According to the CDS, the tattoo parade will provide an opportunity for the armed forces to demonstrate their professionalism and showcase their cultural heritage.

The event will also serve as a platform for the armed forces to connect with the civil population and promote unity among Nigerians.

Gen. Musa emphasized the importance of the tattoo parade in promoting national unity and cohesion.

“We want to use this opportunity to showcase our culture and tradition, and to promote unity among Nigerians,” he said.

“We believe that this event will help to bring Nigerians together and promote a sense of national pride.”

The tattoo parade will feature a range of activities, including military drills, cultural performances, and exhibitions.

His words: “We are working towards harmonizing the Armed Forces Remembrance Day and the Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day, to remember our fallen heroes and their families, and to promote a sense of national pride.

“This will also come with military regimentation which is essential for discipline and effectiveness in battle. Drill is a crucial aspect of military training, as it teaches soldiers to follow commands and work together as a team.”

“We want to close the gap between the military and the civil population. We don’t want people to look at us as monsters because of past experiences. It’s a new military. It’s Nigerian armed forces.”

“This tattoo parade is an opportunity for us to showcase our capabilities and build trust with the civil population. We want to appeal to all Nigerians to see the armed forces as protectors of the country and its citizens.

“Together, we will succeed. We are committed to protecting Nigerians and Nigeria, and we want to work together with the civil population to build a safer and more secure country.”

“This will also provide an opportunity for the armed forces to engage with the civil population and promote their activities.

The Defence Chief encouraged Nigerians to attend the event and experience the rich cultural heritage of the armed forces.

“We invite all Nigerians to come and witness the professionalism and cultural heritage of the armed forces,” he said.

“We believe that this event will be a unique opportunity for Nigerians to come together and celebrate our national unity.”

PRNigeria reports that event is expected to take place in 2025, and will be a major highlight of the armed forces’ calendar.
