Kamaludeen Balarabe Awarded NIQS Fellowship for Impactful Quantity Surveying

The Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) has elevated Kamaludeen Balarabe to the prestigious rank of Fellow in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of quantity surveying in Nigeria.

Economic Confidential reports that the award, the highest professional membership grade, was conferred upon him by NIQS President Kene Nzekwe at the institute’s annual conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A Distinguished Career Path

Born in Kano on August 3rd, 1980, Balarabe’s educational foundation was laid at the Kano State Technical College and Polytechnic, where he earned a National Diploma in Building Technology/Quantity Surveying. He further honed his skills with a B.Tech (Honours) in Quantity Surveying from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (2003-2008) and later pursued an Executive MBA specializing in Project Management from Nigerian Nile Turkish University, Abuja (2015-2016).

Balarabe’s career began with a stint at Standard Construction Company Limited (2000-2001) as a Site Quantity Surveyor for the construction of the New Kano State Library. He then gained valuable experience as a Site Supervisor at Co Bag Prime Nigeria Ltd (2002-2003) before embarking on a transformative period at Cox’a Integrated Limited. Starting with his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) service in 2008-2009, he rose through the ranks to become a project manager by 2013.

Balarabe’s expertise extends beyond his leadership role. He is a full member of the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN) since 2014 and holds a student membership with the Royal Institute of Chartered Quantity Surveyors (RICS) in London. He is also an associate member of the Institute of Corporate Administration, demonstrating his commitment to professional development.
