
CDS Orders Troops to Flush Out Insurgents, Intensify Fight Against Insecurity
The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has directed troops to take the fight to insurgent hideouts and flush them out completely.
General Musa gave the order during a visit to frontline units under Operation Safe Haven in Kaduna and Plateau states.
The CDS charged the troops to intensify their efforts in the fight against insurgency, seeking a renewed vigor in 2025.
A statement released at the weekend by Director Defence Information Brig.- Gen. Tukur Gusau disclosed that the visit is in continuation of his operational visits to Defence Headquarters led operations.I
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and adherence to rules of engagement to achieve operational successes.

Speaking further, the CDS warned troops to desist from any illegal practices that would bring the name of the AFN to disrepute.
He called on troops to work as a team in order to achieve more operational successes.
Earlier during the visit, the General officer Commanding 3 Division and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, briefed the CDS on the general security situation under OPERATION SAFE HAVEN joint operational area.
Similarly, in Southern Kaduna, the CDS also paid a homage to the Chief of Kagoro, His Royal Highness, Agwam Ufuwai Bonet.
He thanked the Royal father for his support to troops operating in Southern Kaduna.
The CDS who was accompanied by Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South senatorial district, expressed appreciation for General Musa’s efforts to address insecurity in the area.
