CCC Tasks EFCC on Media Engagement to Fight Smear Campaigns
The Centre for Crisis Communication (CCC) has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to enhance its media engagement strategies in order to effectively counter smear campaigns and misinformation aimed at discrediting its anti-corruption efforts.
Major General Chris Olukolade (Rtd), the Chairman of the Centre, made the call while briefing newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja.
The CCC commended the EFCC for its renewed determination in tackling corruption, particularly in high-profile cases, and emphasized the crucial role of strategic communication in amplifying the Commission’s successes.
The Chairman urged all Nigerians to unite in support of the EFCC, stressing that a corruption-free Nigeria is only achievable through collective effort and sustained transparency.
