NASPRI, IIPS Colloborate to Train Military Graphics Designers and Printers in Cutting-Edge Technology

In a significant move to enhance the skills of military personnel in graphics design and printing technology, the Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) has partnered with the International Institute for Publishing Studies (IIPS) at the University of Abuja. The collaboration, formalized on February 6, 2025, aims to equip military graphics designers and printers with the latest skills and knowledge in line with global best practices.

The Commandant of NASPRI, Lieutenant Colonel Adamu Ngulde, led a delegation of officers and students to the University of Abuja to solidify the partnership. During the visit, Lt. Col. Ngulde emphasized the importance of the training program in preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the Nigerian military. He urged participants to embrace the opportunity with an open mind, maintain the highest level of discipline, and actively engage in the learning process.

“This partnership is a testament to NASPRI’s commitment to providing practical knowledge and exposure to our students,” said Lt. Col. Ngulde. “We are grateful to the Director of IIPS for his swift approval of this initiative, which will undoubtedly enhance the capabilities of our personnel.”

Professor Chris Wolumati Ogbondah, Director of the International Institute for Publishing Studies, warmly welcomed the NASPRI delegation to the university’s Publishing Centre. He praised the Nigerian military as a source of national pride and pledged to ensure the success of the training program.

“We are honored to collaborate with NASPRI in this capacity-building initiative,” said Prof. Ogbondah. “Our goal is to expose the students to all relevant applications in graphics design and provide hands-on experience with modern printing machines available at our facility.”

The visit included a comprehensive tour of the institute’s state-of-the-art facilities, led by Alhaji Abdulwasiu Mustapha, former General Manager of UniAbuja Printing Limited, and Mr. Eguzoro Gideon, the current General Manager. The tour showcased the advanced equipment and technologies that will be utilized during the training program. The event concluded with a group photograph to commemorate the historic partnership.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in bridging the gap between military training and modern technological advancements, ensuring that Nigerian military personnel remain at the forefront of innovation in graphics design and printing technology.
