Shinkafi Communities Praise Operation Fansan Yamma’s Anti-Terrorism Efforts
Communities in Shinkafi Local Government Area (LGA), Zamfara State, have expressed their appreciation for troops of Operation Fansan Yamma, recognizing its ongoing success in combating terrorism in the area. This commendation was highlighted during a visit by community representatives, led by Junaidu Muhammad, the Vice Chairman of Shinkafi LGA on 18 February 2025.

The delegation conveyed their gratitude for the relentless efforts of troops and emphasized the positive impact of the operation on local safety and security. They took the opportunity to appeal for the continuation of ongoing operation in Fakai and other localities, underscoring the importance of sustaining the momentum gained against criminal elements. They noted that the operation has significantly reduced the fear of attacks and violence, allowing residents to go about their daily lives with greater peace of mind.
Responding, the Theatre Commander of Operation Fansan Yamma Major Gen Oluyinka Soyele expressed gratitude for the community’s support and recognition. He emphasized the JTF’s commitment to maintaining a strong presence in the criminals’ identified hideouts. The Theatre Commander acknowledged that community cooperation is essential for the success of the operation and reassured residents that their safety remains a top priority throughout this operation.
