PEARL Awards Limited, Nigeria’s premier independent awards recognizing outstanding performance among companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), has announced the appointment of UPTICOMM Marketing Company Limited as its official Sponsorship Marketing Consultant for its landmark 30th Anniversary Celebrations.

Established in 1995, the PEARL Awards have consistently upheld the highest standards of excellence, relying on empirical data to recognize companies demonstrating exceptional operational and stock market performance. Marking three decades of promoting transparency and good corporate governance within the Nigerian capital market, the 30th anniversary celebration will feature a series of high-profile events.

“The selection of UPTICOMM as our Marketing Consultants for this significant milestone reflects their proven track record and our shared commitment to integrity and results-driven performance,” stated the President/CEO, PEARL Awards Limited, Tayo Orekoya. “For 30 years, the PEARL Awards have served as a benchmark for excellence, and we are confident that UPTICOMM will leverage their expertise to ensure the success of our anniversary events.”

The President/CEO, UPTICOMM Marketing Company, Segun McMedal, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the PEARL Awards’ legacy. “We are honoured to partner with PEARL Awards and are committed to delivering exceptional results. We believe that this 30th anniversary is an important milestone for corporate Nigeria to acknowledge and support the awards’ enduring impact on the capital market,” said McMedal.

This strategic partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed last Friday at PEARL Awards’ Secretariat. The ceremony was attended by key officials from both organizations, including the Secretary, PEARL Awards Board of Governors, Lekan Adekoya; Project Manager, PEARL Awards Nigeria; Olisemeka Obi, and Executive Director, Finance and Administration, UPTICOMM Marketing Company, Dotun Afolabi.

To commence the anniversary activities, PEARL Awards Limited will host a Corporate Summit on June 24, 2025, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The Summit, themed “Built to Last: A Roadmap for Corporate Nigeria,” will convene distinguished business leaders, corporate executives, and CEOs to discuss strategies for sustainable excellence in the contemporary business landscape.

A highlight of the Summit will be the public presentation of the second edition of “Winning Strategies of Nigeria’s Corporate Giants,” a special publication commemorating the 30th anniversary. The event will serve as a prelude to the 2025 PEARL Awards Nite, scheduled for November 2025.

The PEARL Awards, endorsed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) since 2003, remains a trusted and prestigious platform for recognizing and celebrating corporate excellence in Nigeria.
