PHOTO: Troops Recover 900 Cattle and Sheep from Bandits in Intense Zamfara Gunfight
In a daring operation, Nigerian ground troops riding motorcycles clashed with armed bandits in Zamfara, engaging in a prolonged gunfight that lasted for hours. The encounter with the support of local vigilantes resulted in the elimination of numerous bandits, while others fled the scene.
A video obtained by PRNigeria captured the aftermath of the operation, showing the bodies of bandits scattered across the field as the troops escorted the livestock to safety.
The troops successfully recovered over 900 animals, including approximately 500 sheep and 400 cattle, from the notorious bandit kingpins operating in the region.
