Military Eliminates 4 Terrorist Commanders, Captures Key Leader in Major Offensive
The Nigerian military has dealt a significant blow to terrorist factions, eliminating four high-profile commanders and capturing a wanted leader, Abdullahi Ali, during a series of operations in early 2025.
The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, confirmed on Thursday that the slain commanders—Abba Allai (alias Amirul Khalid of Alafa), Abdullahi (alias Honour), Jagaban, and Dan Danger—were neutralized in combat engagements. Ali, who sustained severe gunshot wounds, was captured alive.
The military also arrested several gun runners and logistics suppliers, including Alhaji Mansur Mohammed, Shehu Babangida, Sagi David, Blessing Paul, and Shuaibu Maji. These arrests have disrupted the operational networks of Boko Haram (BHT), ISWAP, and JAS terrorists, causing internal strife among their ranks.
