Ex-NYSC DG, Other Rescued Hostages Handed Over to Ribadu
The National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) on Thursday handed over Brig. Gen. Maharazu Tsiga (rtd), a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), to National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
Tsiga regained his freedom after spending 56 days in captivity.

He was handed over (to the NSA) alongside a former Ambassador and other victims, all of whom were kidnapped by terrorists.
PRNigeria reported that Tsiga was abducted from his hometown in Bakori Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State on February 5, 2025.
Major-General Adamu Laka, the NCTC coordinator, spoke before the handover.
He praised the collaborative efforts of the military, DSS, police, and other agencies, who worked tirelessly to secure the hostages’ release.
