Police Condemns Officers Caught Receiving Cash from Chinese National, Orders Disciplinary Action
The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to a viral video circulating on social media showing some of its officers receiving money from a Chinese national, describing the conduct as unprofessional and unethical.
In a statement released on Thursday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the police authorities strongly condemned the actions of the officers involved, stressing that the behaviour captured in the video violates the core values, ethics, and standards expected of members of the Force.

“The Force has zero tolerance for such unprofessional behaviour and other forms of misconduct, which undermine public trust and confidence,” the statement noted.
The officers identified in the video have since been traced and subjected to internal disciplinary proceedings, the police confirmed.
The statement further cautioned individuals and organizations who engage the services of police personnel—whether as escorts, guards, or for other specialized duties—to refrain from actions that may compromise the integrity of police officers or bring disrepute to the institution.
The police emphasized their commitment to professionalism and accountability as part of ongoing efforts to restore and maintain public trust.
