Easter Message: Tinubu Reassures Nigerians of Renewed Hope, Vows to End Insecurity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world, urging citizens to embrace the values of sacrifice, hope, and unity, which define the season.

In a press statement released from the State House, President Tinubu said the commemoration of Easter, which marks the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring values of love, redemption, and renewal.

“As President of our blessed nation, I draw inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” Tinubu said. “I remain steadfast in my commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope—a better, more just, and prosperous Nigeria for all.”

Amid rising insecurity and recent tragic events across parts of the country, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and assured Nigerians of decisive government action.

“I understand the pain and fear these incidents have caused,” he stated. “Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable. Forces of evil will never prevail over our country.”

He added that clear directives had been given to the Armed Forces and security agencies to end insecurity “decisively and without delay,” and praised the commitment of Nigeria’s security personnel in reclaiming peace.

President Tinubu also acknowledged the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians but said there are signs of recovery. “We understand the economic challenges many of you are facing, and we are working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilise key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he said.

In his message, Tinubu joined the global Christian community in celebrating the recovery of Pope Francis and offered prayers for the pontiff’s continued strength and leadership.

As the Easter celebration continues, Tinubu called on all Nigerians to remain hopeful and united. “The present moment may be cloudy, but it will usher in a glorious day,” he said. “Together, with faith and determination, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome.”

He concluded his message with a prayer: “May the risen Christ bless our homes with peace and our nation with continued unity and prosperity. Happy Easter to all my fellow Nigerians.”
