Army Warns Public of Fake Recruitment Advert of Short Services
The Nigerian Army has issued a warning to the public about a fake online advertisement claiming that the “Nigerian Army DSSC/SSC Application Form 2025” is currently available.
The army has denied any knowledge of such a recruitment or commissioning exercise for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) or Short Service Commission (SSC) for the year.
In a statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, today in Abuja, said the army advised the public to disregard the fake advertisement, warning that it did not originate from the Nigerian Army.

The army assured the public that whenever such recruitment exercises are scheduled to begin, they will be duly informed through official channels with adequate publicity.
“Whenever such recruitment exercises are scheduled to begin, the public will be duly informed through official channels with adequate publicity.
“The Nigerian Army warns all to be cautious and avoid falling prey to fraudsters who exploit such fake information to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals,” the statement said.
The army urged anyone with information about such fraudulent activities or individuals to promptly report to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.
