Report Misconducts, Harassments by Our Personnel – Police Urge Citizens
The Nigeria Police Force has called on citizens to promptly report any instances of misconduct or harassment by its officers, emphasizing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and public safety.
In a message shared on its official Facebook page, the Force acknowledged that tensions may sometimes arise during law enforcement duties. However, it stressed that maintaining trust with the public remains a top priority.

“Good day, Nigerians! As we continue working to improve our services and strengthen the safety and security of every law-abiding citizen, we acknowledge that instances of friction may sometimes occur,” the statement read.
The police advised members of the public who experience or witness inappropriate conduct by officers to contact the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) or the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state where the incident occurred.
For unresolved complaints, the Force advised escalation to the Public Complaints Bureau at the Force Headquarters in Abuja via 07056792065.
“Your safety is our priority. Help us serve you better,” the statement concluded.
The police message was accompanied by photos urging the public to speak out and utilize available complaint channels to improve policing services across the country.
