Governor Yusuf Commends DSS Over Arrest of Child Kidnappers in Kano
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has lauded the Directorate of State Services (DSS) for its prompt and effective action in arresting five suspects linked to the kidnapping and gruesome murder of a one-year-old girl, Sakina Mamuda, in Duhun Bake village, Gwarzo Local Government Area.
In a statement released by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the suspects were alleged to have kidnapped the toddler, demanded ransom from her family, and subsequently killed her, dumping her remains in an abandoned open well.
The suspects — Zailani Rabiu, Hafizu Yusuf, Abubakar Abdulkareem, Umar Lawan, and Amadu Salisu — all hail from the same community as their victim. They are currently under investigation for criminal conspiracy, kidnapping, and homicide.
