Police Urge Public Cooperation as Tinubu Visits Anambra
The Anambra State Police Command has called for the cooperation of residents as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visits the state today, May 8, 2025.
In a statement issued on behalf of all security agencies in the state, the police said President Tinubu’s visit will necessitate partial adjustments to vehicular movement across parts of the state to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, urged Ndi Anambra to remain law-abiding and patient during the temporary changes in movement, assuring the public that all necessary security measures have been put in place.

“We seek more cooperation of Ndi Anambra as we welcome His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, CFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the state,” the statement read.
“Consequently, there will be a partial adjustment of vehicular movements within the state. Please bear with us.”
SP Ikenga also called on residents to continue supporting the police and other security agencies in their efforts to maintain safety and peace across the state.
President Tinubu’s visit is expected to include engagements with political leaders and stakeholders as well as an inspection of key federal projects in Anambra.
