Troops Neutralize 10 Terrorists in Zamfara, Recover Arms
In a decisive blow to criminal elements, joint troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have successfully eliminated 10 terrorists during a well-coordinated offensive operation in Zamfara State.
According to a statement released via the official Facebook handle of the Nigerian Army, the operation was carried out earlier today, Monday, June 9, 2025, targeting terrorist hideouts at Mai Tashi and Dan Jigba in Gusau Local Government Area, as well as Munhaye in Tsafe Local Government Area.

The troops stormed the enclaves in a high-impact strike, engaging the terrorists in a fierce gun battle that led to the elimination of 10 fighters. Several arms and ammunition were recovered at the scene, while five motorcycles used by the criminals were destroyed in-situ to prevent further mobility and escape.
The military high command hailed the operation as a significant success in ongoing efforts to flush out terrorist elements from the North-West and restore peace in troubled communities across Zamfara State.
The Nigerian military reaffirmed its commitment to defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country while urging citizens to support the military with credible information to aid further operations.
