NAF Accelerates Acquisition of Viper Helicopters in US Engagement
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is fast-tracking the acquisition of 12 AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters, a move poised to significantly bolster its combat capabilities. This is disclosed in a statement signed by NAF Spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame.
The strategic meeting brought together senior officials from the United States Government and representatives of Bell Textron, the manufacturer of the AH-1Z helicopters. Air Marshal Abubakar expressed profound gratitude for the enduring strategic partnership with the US, emphasizing that “The acquisition of the AH-1Z Viper helicopters will significantly enhance the Nigerian Air Force’s combat effectiveness, operational efficiency, and mission readiness.”
