US Embassy in Tel viv Sustains Minor Damage in Iranian Missile Strike
The United States Embassy in Tel Aviv suffered minor damage from a nearby Iranian missile strike early Monday, though no American personnel were injured, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed.
The attack came as Iran launched a wave of missiles targeting Israeli cities, a sharp escalation following Israel’s recent strikes on military sites deep inside Iranian territory. Both nations have since traded threats of further retaliation, raising fears of a broader regional conflict.
Images from AFP showed several buildings gutted in Tel Aviv, with Israel’s military urging residents to seek shelter as incoming Iranian missiles rained down on the coastal city.

“Some minor damage from concussions of Iranian missile hits near Embassy Branch in @TelAviv but no injuries to US personnel,” Huckabee wrote on X (formerly Twitter). He added that the US Embassy in Jerusalem would remain closed Monday, with shelter-in-place orders still in effect.
The rapidly intensifying hostilities follow decades of simmering tensions and proxy conflicts between the two regional adversaries. Israel’s recent strikes, which it claims targeted military and nuclear facilities, reportedly killed several top Iranian commanders and scientists involved in its atomic program.
According to AFP, a senior US official, however revealed Sunday that President Donald Trump had urged Israel to abandon a plan to target Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Speaking to reporters, Trump said he continues to push both sides toward negotiations but admitted that “sometimes they have to fight it out” before any agreement can be reached.
The unfolding confrontation has fueled concerns of a protracted conflict that could drag in other Middle Eastern nations and destabilize the region.
