Bandits Raid Vigilante Camp, Kill 1, Injure 7 in Zamfara
Suspected armed bandits launched a deadly nighttime assault on a vigilante camp in Adabka Village, Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing one member of the Community Protection Guard (CPG) and injuring seven others, PRNigeria learnt.
Zagazola Makana reports that the attack occurred around 10:07 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, when a large group of gunmen stormed the vigilante base and opened fire on members of the local security outfit.

According to local sources, the bandits took the camp by surprise, sparking a brief but fierce exchange of gunfire. One CPG operative was fatally shot, while seven others sustained varying degrees of injuries.
The wounded were immediately evacuated to a nearby healthcare facility for urgent medical attention. The body of the deceased was later taken for autopsy before being released for burial.
In response to the attack, a combined team of security forces and members of the vigilante group launched intensified patrols across the area to forestall further assaults and restore confidence among residents.
