Saudi Crown Prince Engages Regional, Global Leaders Amid Iran-Israel Escalation
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a series of high-level phone conversations on Sunday with regional and international leaders to address the escalating crisis between Iran and Israel, as well as the recent U.S. strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Crown Prince, commonly known as MBS, spoke individually with leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries—Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates.
The discussions centered on the recent regional developments, particularly the implications of Israel’s attack on Iran and subsequent U.S. military strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites.

“The leaders underscored the solidarity among GCC member states in light of the grave and evolving situation,” SPA reported. “They collectively called for restraint, warned against further escalation, and emphasized the urgent need to resolve disputes through diplomatic channels.”
In addition to his outreach within the Gulf, Crown Prince Mohammed also held separate conversations with French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Both calls focused on the critical need for de-escalation and reinforced the importance of diplomacy as the preferred path forward.
The diplomatic outreach comes amid heightened tensions following U.S. President Donald Trump’s confirmation that American forces had “obliterated” multiple Iranian nuclear facilities, including the highly sensitive Fordow site.
As the international community braces for Iran’s potential response, Saudi Arabia continues to advocate for a unified regional stance and a peaceful resolution to the growing crisis.
