Fani-Kayode Hails Iran’s Military Response, Describes Outcome as Israel’s Worst Defeat in History

Fani-Kayode Hails Iran’s Military Response, Describes Outcome as Israel’s Worst Defeat in History

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has lauded the Islamic Republic of Iran for what he described as a bold and decisive military response to recent hostilities with Israel, saying the outcome marks a historic defeat for the Zionist state.

Reacting to the ceasefire agreement that followed the latest escalation between Iran and Israel, Fani-Kayode issued a statement on Monday, crediting Iran for forcing Israel—allegedly backed by the United States—to accept a truce.

According to the former minister, Israel suffered unprecedented setbacks in the conflict. “In 77 years of its existence, Israel has never experienced this scale of damage and psychological humiliation,” he said.

“They picked a fight with a strong and proud nation and ended up not only with a bloody nose but a comprehensive defeat. Never again will they dare to launch an unprovoked attack on Iran.”

Fani-Kayode praised the Iranian Armed Forces for their “measured military engagement,” noting that while Iran demonstrated formidable capability, it refrained from targeting civilians or flattening Israeli cities. He described the response as a sign of military professionalism and strategic restraint.

He also commended Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, for what he called “exceptional strength, humility, and unwavering faith” during the crisis.

The former minister accused Israel and the United States of failing in their alleged objectives, which he said included destroying Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, effecting regime change, and assassinating Iranian leaders. “They failed on all fronts,” he declared.

While expressing hope that the ceasefire holds, Fani-Kayode expressed skepticism about Israel’s willingness to maintain peace. He also condemned the continued occupation of Palestinian territories and Israeli military actions in Gaza, urging the global community to unite against oppression and injustice.

“I will never be silent in the face of Zionist aggression,” he stated. “Those who stand for peace, justice, and humanity must continue to speak out.”

Concluding his remarks, Fani-Kayode said:

“The Zionists and their American allies not only failed to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment plants and missile programs, but they also failed to eliminate Ayatollah Khamenei or ignite a regional war to draw the world closer to a third World War. Iran stood its ground, taught them a historic lesson, and compelled them to seek American help in negotiating a ceasefire.”

PRNigeria reports that Fani-Kayode has long been a vocal critic of U.S. support for Israel and a fierce opponent of Israeli military operations in Gaza, which, according to reports, have claimed the lives of over 50,000 civilians, mostly women and children.
