“The book is not just about me, it’s about possibility,” Hon. Shittu stated on the podcast. “It’s a message to every young girl in the remotest village that dreams are valid, and with courage and opportunity, the so-called glass ceiling can be shattered.”
Hon. Shittu also revealed that Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, graciously granted her the right to use the phrase Cracking the Glass Ceiling, a slogan that has come to symbolize his administration’s trailblazing policies on youth and women inclusion.
The Governor’s support, she explained, reflects his unwavering commitment to building a state where merit, not gender or age, determines opportunities.
In a remarkable show of community service, Hon. Shittu disclosed that copies of Cracking the Glass Ceiling will be distributed free of charge to secondary schools across Kwara State.
“This book is not for profit. It is for impact. We are ensuring that even students in the most rural areas can access this message of hope, courage, and possibility,” she affirmed.
Since her election, Hon. Shittu has emerged as a role model for many young Nigerians, especially women. Her achievements in office, ranging from sponsoring bills to facilitating development projects in her constituency, have cemented her reputation as a young leader with substance.
The upcoming book is expected to further amplify conversations around youth participation in politics and gender inclusion in leadership.
