Soldier in Police Net for Stabbing Ex-Colleague to Death in Borno
A serving soldier has been handed over to the police in Maiduguri for allegedly stabbing a dismissed colleague to death during a confrontation in the Kasuwan Fara area of Borno State, PRNigeria reports.
According to reports, the suspect, a Lance Corporal attached to the Nigerian Army’s 7 Division, was turned in to the police by a senior military officer on June 27, a day after the fatal incident.

Sources revealed to Zagazola Makama that the altercation occurred around 2:00 a.m. on June 26. During the heated exchange, the soldier, identified as Suleiman, reportedly stabbed the victim, Musa Adamu—a former soldier who had been dismissed from service—in the chest with a jackknife.
Adamu was immediately rushed to the Borno State Specialist Hospital, where he was confirmed dead by medical personnel. His body has since been deposited in the hospital morgue for autopsy.
The Borno State Police Command has transferred the suspect and case file to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a detailed investigation and possible prosecution.
