Police Raid IPOB/ESN Enclave, Arrest 6 Suspects in Enugu

The operation was launched at about 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, following credible intelligence received by the Officer-in-Charge of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit. The intelligence detailed the activities of a notorious herbalist believed to be responsible for preparing charms and offering spiritual protection to ESN fighters in the Oduma Achara community.

The raid, carried out jointly by operatives of the SWAT team, the State Intelligence Squad (SIS), and the Octopus tactical unit, led to the arrest of six individuals: Festus Godwin, Chisom Nwaigwe, Chidiebere Emmanuel, Ani Chibuike, Onyedika Njoku, and Chibueze Akpaigwe, 23, who hails from nearby Obeagu Oduma.

All six suspects are currently in custody and undergoing thorough interrogation, the sources confirmed.
