JUST IN: VP Shettima Arrives Katsina With Late Ex-President Buhari’s Body
Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Katsina State on Tuesday afternoon, accompanying the body of Nigeria’s immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away recently.
Shortly before Shettima’s arrival, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu also landed at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport to receive the late president’s remains.

The body of the late elder statesman is expected to be conveyed to his hometown of Daura for final funeral rites and interment. Full military protocols were observed at the airport, with top government officials, security chiefs, and members of the Buhari family present.
President Tinubu, who earlier declared national mourning in honour of Buhari, is expected to lead dignitaries at the state funeral in Daura.
