Lagos Police Deploy Anti-Cultism Squads to Strengthen Security

In a renewed effort to combat cult-related crimes across the state, the Lagos State Police Command has deployed Anti-Cultism Squads to all Area Commands, equipping them with the necessary tools to swiftly respond to cultism threats and enhance public safety.

The move, according to the Command, is part of a comprehensive strategy to clamp down on cultism through surveillance operations, rapid response to distress calls, arrest of suspects, and close collaboration with local communities to dismantle cult networks.

Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, said the specialized squads have been stationed in strategic locations across Lagos and are now operational.

To enhance accessibility and facilitate prompt reporting of incidents, the Command also released dedicated phone numbers for each Area Command:

Area A (Lagos Island) – 08035216190
