FCT Police Arrest 48 in Coordinated Raids on Criminal Hideouts
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested 48 suspects in a series of coordinated night operations targeting criminal hideouts and black spots across Abuja, PRNigeria reports.
The operation, which began at approximately 11:40 p.m. on July 16, was carried out simultaneously by operatives from the Jikwoyi, Apo, Nyanya, Karu, Wuse, Kubwa, Dutse-Alhaji, Utako, and Kurudu Divisions.

Police sources revealed that the raids focused on uncompleted buildings and other suspected criminal enclaves within each division’s area of responsibility. The exercise led to the arrest of several suspects and the recovery of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
All arrested individuals are currently undergoing screening and interrogation at their respective divisional commands. The FCT Police Command confirmed that those found culpable after investigation will be prosecuted in accordance with the law.
