According to a  intelligence source who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the terrorists—numbering over 100—were riding on 108 motorcycles and heavily armed with sophisticated weapons. Their mission was to carry out coordinated attacks in Rijau and Warari axis.

“NAF air assets engaged the terrorists between Ragada and Warari at coordinates 10°54′1.51″N and 5°25′4.96″E. Only 13 out of the 108 armed bandits reportedly escaped; the rest were eliminated in the operation,” the source disclosed.

Residents of Makuku, Warari, and Ragada communities expressed joy and appreciation over the successful operation, applauding the Federal Government’s resolve to tackle terrorism and banditry in the North West.

The intelligence source further confirmed that actionable information from local operatives contributed to the successful airstrike.
