NSCDC, DSS Deepen Synergy to Enhance Security in FCT
In a renewed effort to tackle insecurity and criminal activities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration.
This development emerged during a courtesy visit by the newly deployed Director of DSS, FCT Command, Usman Dauda, to the FCT NSCDC Commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, at the Corps’ headquarters in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.
Welcoming the DSS Director, Commandant Odumosu emphasized the importance of synergy among security agencies in achieving sustainable peace in the FCT. He noted that the relative peace currently enjoyed in the capital is largely due to the harmonious working relationships among service commanders.
“No security agency has the monopoly of strategy,” Odumosu stated. “That is why inter-agency cooperation is indispensable. The NSCDC is committed to enhancing this collaboration, especially with the DSS, as both agencies have always been dependable partners in the quest for a secure and peaceful FCT.”
