FCT Police Secure Release of 2 Abducted Women After Swift Operation
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has successfully secured the release of two women, Fati Omale and Zainab Ibrahim, who were abducted in the early hours of Tuesday, July 23, from Aco Mbawpe in the Iddo community.
The victims, kidnapped around 2:10 a.m., were rescued unhurt later the same day at approximately 10:00 p.m., following an intensive operation by police operatives deployed to the area.

Security sources told Zagazola Makama that the swift response, coordinated intelligence tracking, and sustained pressure on the kidnappers by tactical police teams were instrumental to the rescue effort.
“The victims were released unhurt due to the rapid response and relentless pursuit by our officers. We are now intensifying efforts to identify and apprehend the fleeing suspects,” the source said.
The case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
Meanwhile, the FCT Police Command has urged residents of Iddo and surrounding communities to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to security agencies.
