The Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of two Nigerian traders in South Africa, describing the act as “senseless and intolerable.”
In a statement issued by NiDCOM’s spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Dabiri-Erewa revealed that the Nigerian High Commission in South Africa has launched an investigation into the tragic incident.
She lamented that despite the bilateral early warning mechanism designed by Nigeria and South Africa to prevent such violent attacks, its full implementation by the South African authorities remains pending.
